Our core initiatives for community well-being

We focus on three vital areas to address the unique challenges faced by our communities: homelessness response, senior support, and neighborhood stability. Each program is designed to deliver compassionate, effective solutions and build a stronger, more resilient community.

Homelessness response

The Problem: Many neighbors face housing instability and struggle to access consistent support.
How We Help: We provide direct outreach, connect individuals to resources, and offer compassionate, person-centered assistance that supports safety and stability.

Senior support

The Problem: Seniors living alone often lack transportation, social connection, and access to essential services.
How We Help: We offer wellness check-ins, resource coordination, and engagement opportunities so older adults can age safely and with dignity.

Neighborhood stability

The Problem: Long-term disinvestment has led to blight, safety concerns, and limited community resources.
How We Help: We organize cleanups, support safety initiatives, and strengthen resident-led projects that build pride, connection, and long-term neighborhood resilience.

A story of impact: Mr. Johnson's journey

Mr. Johnson, a 72-year-old resident of Westcott–Trinity Gardens, was quietly struggling after his wife's passing. With declining mobility, home repairs needed, and no transportation for medical appointments, a neighbor connected him with the Westcott Trinity Garden Coalition.

Through our Senior Support Initiative, volunteers provided regular wellness check-ins, helped him access food assistance, coordinated transportation for medical visits, and connected him with a partner organization to repair his home. Mr. Johnson regained stability, confidence, and a sense of community connection. Today, he often tells volunteers that he “feels seen again,” embodying our mission to ensure long-time residents can age safely and with dignity.
